NaBloPoMo 2024 – A Month of Books
I haven’t told you about the books I’m reading much this year. Why? Who knows. Perhaps this is not a lack that you are feeling in your life, but it is a lack in mine. I like being able to go to my blog and do a search for a book or an author years after reading it, and finding that yes, I read it, and maybe I even had an opinion about it. For this reason, I’ve decided that for NaBloPoMo, I’m going to write about the books that I read this year. A lot of them will be familiar to you, because I read about them on your blogs, put them on hold via Libby, and then listened to them. A couple of books I found the old fashioned way, browsing bookstores.
The challenge is going to be remembering some of these, since I listened to them MONTHS ago. We’ll see how I do. I’ll keep my posts on the short side, I know we all have a lot of blog reading to do this month!
Who knows, perhaps I will sneak in some extra, non-book related posts as well. Friday Randomness or something. Iโm sure I will have things to tell you. So you may get more than one post some days.
Happy NaBloPoMo, and thank you as always to San for hosting!

Ooh! This should be fun! I’ve read a few of these, but have heard of all of them. I’m excited to read your reviews.
J
Thanks Jenny!

I cannot wait for some of these reviews. I’m so impressed with you that you’re going to have a THEME for NaBloPoMo. That’s next level!
J
Well, they’re a lot shorter than a spectacular NGS review, I will temper expectations by getting that right out in the open.

Nice! This sounds like an excellent plan, J, and I look forward to reading your reviews!
J
Thanks Michelle!

Oh this is going to be fun. I read three of those books and a few are on my TBR. Looking forward to your posts. I also plan to included a few short posts this year specially towards the end when it all gets overwhelming.
J
Tobia, I’ll be interested to see where we agree or don’t on the books we’ve both read!

This is a great idea for NaBloPoMo. I’m sort of glad you saved them all up. Looking forward to your reviews. Um, the middle finger front cover caught my eye already. ๐
J
LOL, that’s a good one.

What an ambitious topic for your NaBloPoMo posts. I look forward to your reviews. Carry on, my friend.
J
Thanks Ally!

I’ve read The River We Remember, Homegoing, The Berry Pickers, the Vaster Wild, and Tell me Everything. It will be interesting to see if our opinions agree! I love discussing books.
J
I think I would enjoy being in a book club together!

When I first started scrolling through all the book covers I was thinking, wow, how on earth did you get through all these books in a month … then I started reading and it all made sense. I’ve read one of these but have a few on many tbr so it will be good to hear your opinion. I guess I’ll probably be adding a few to my TBR as well.
J
Oh goodness, one month? Yeah, that would be crazy!

Oh I need more books to read from my massive to be read stack LOL. This is great. – I keep borrowing books from the library and renewing them because I get caught up in writing or the time suck called social media ๐
J
Yay! Karen is here! It’s been a minute, right? I hope you find some new reads in my month of book reviews. ๐

I think that’s a great idea! I do book round-up posts at the end of the year that have kind of become expected among my friends now, and I enjoy putting them together, but sometimes it feels like it would be nice to spread them out more.
I’ve read a lot of these authors but not these specific books. I did really like Listen for the Lie – great protagonist voice, I thought. And I LOVED Homegoing, and her other book. Lauren Groff I always really enjoy and then for some reason struggle to make myself pick up another one – I hate when I’m so weird.
J
LOL, I’m the same way with Lauren Groff! Why? I don’t know.

Hooray Julie, so happy you’ll be joining NaBloPoMo again this year and I love that you’ll make it book-themed. I doubt I’ll read any books this month but I am looking forward to adding books to my to-read list ๐
J
Yeah, with all of the posting, reading, and commenting, there will be less time for reading!
coco
love the idea of this series! will be following closely.
J
Thanks Coco!
