Whamageddon

I’m in, again. The first time I heard of Whamageddon, I made it all of the way from December 1st to December 24th without hearing the Wham! classic ‘Last Christmas’, but last year the DJ at Ted’s company party played it, and I think that was December 2nd. (To clarify, I do not have strong feelings about this song. I like it fine, but I don’t love it.)

We’ll see how it goes this year. Stout hearts.

UPDATE: The acoustics at the party were HORRIBLE at this year’s company party, so I have no idea whether he played the song or not. SO I’M STILL IN!

Good luck! One option is to avoid parties! Haha. I used to work at Nordstrom and I hated the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas becuase they played a soundtrack of cheesy holiday music on a loop! I am sure the Wham song may have been on it, but honestly, I am not sure, as have blocked it out, and I think I have a little retail PTSD from it.

Kyria, I worked at hotels, and I think our holiday music was better, probably low key classical renditions or something. We went to a holiday party last night, the company party that took me out last year, but it was SO LOUD, I have no idea whether the DJ played it or not! HA!

I have FEELINGS about Last Christmas. Thankfully, I never listen to the radio, avoid stores as much as possible in December and since I curate my own lists can almost always avoid it!

Each to their own, however, and I know it’s a fan favourite for others <3

Elisabeth, yes, I know how you feel about this song! You hate it, Nicole LOVES it. <3

      I don't hate it, don't love it. It's catchy!

Ever since you told us about Whamageddon years ago, I’ve been in. I have to tell you, it’s tough because of my funny grocery store that plays the oddest music. Everything and anything is fair game there. I once was deep into my shopping and realized that I was hearing a song by Echo and the Bunnymen.

I’m in, and I’m Stouting My Heart. 😉

Nance, oh, grocery stores. I think a couple of our stores could take me out. Perhaps I should limit myself to the one that only plays Muzak versions of songs. They have been known to play Muzak versions of Echo and the Bunnyman, actually!

Margaret, yes, stores are the danger! And I go to the grocery store almost daily, so if I get hit, I expect that is where it will be.

Oh, this is hilarious. I’m on the “hater” side of this one! And I’ve already lost- I’ve heard it mulitple times this year already. I actually hear it so often, I just roll me eyes and sigh.

This is hilarious. I’m not a big Christmas music listener, so I think I am like you I don’t hate it but I’m not necessarily crazy about it either. I love the game and the rules crack me up.

Funny, right? So far so good…it’s December 9th. We’re going to a holiday party tonight though, so that could get me.
