Friday Update

 Hi Bloggy Friends,

I’m in Colorado, coming home today.  YAY.  It’s been a very short, intense business trip.  Short, because I flew in on Wednesday for a meeting on Thursday, and I’m flying home today.  Intense, because on Wednesday, while I was flying in, some of my coworkers were in a helecopter crash.  Thank goodness, everyone is OK, and the very shaken up folks who were in the crash left early, and are already safely home.  But needless to say, everyone here is reflecting on how much worse things could have gone for our tiny company, for the families involved, and we’re very thankful that all are unharmed.  And it feels strange to be grateful that they were spared, with the bridge collapse in Minnesota happening, and others not spared there.  Feels like a case of, “There but for the grace of God, go I”.

Sorry to be blueish this Friday morning.  Really, I’m pretty happy to be going home.  Have you ever noticed how much more fun it is to travel for pleasure than for business?  Even though on this trip, all of my food, drink, hotel, etc., is paid for, there’s nothing to see in this little suburb, other than a strip mall and some mountains in the distance.  I would much prefer to travel with my favorite travel companions, Ted and Maya.  Happily, that happens soon…like, TOMORROW!  More on that in tomorrow’s post. 😉

Happy Friday!

I’m so glad everyone is ok! Yeh, I guess business trips are a downer simply because it’s about work. Time for you to grap Py and Maya and have a fun family trip! 🙂

    WOW!
I’m so afraid of helicopters for fear of crashing. I’m very happy to hear that everyone is OK and home.

    Come home quickly and Safely!

Oh, this is almost as exciting as the Yosemite trip with the bear. I so love knowing that you could have been in danger. Well, I guess I do love knowing that you are ok after.

I’m beginning to understand your grandmother.

I hope you guys have a wonderful, relaxing time. And hey, make sure to leave whatever place you are staying at a complete mess so that someone else can actually pick it up! 😉

People who don’t travel for business think it would be great to do so. When on business travel, I don’t sleep as well. I end up not eating in my attempt to find food and a time to eat it or I eat too much.

Glad you’re making it back okay…as well as your co-workers. Those helicopter crashes, as we’ve learned so recently in the news, can have devastating results. A business trip that pays for food and drink and hotel? I could SO go for that.

Oh, my goodness…I’m so glad everyone in your company was okay. How terrifying that must have been! Glad you’re home now! Can’t wait to hear about your vacation coming up!
