Quote of the Day

“Forgive others their transgressions. The simple fact is, if we want to reduce road rage, it has to stop somewhere. Our advice? Keep your hand off the horn, and keep your fingers in perfect alignment. Not convinced? Remember this: He could have a gun.”

While driving back from Nevada City on interstate 80, I can see why there is a so much road rage. People drive like idiots — mostly between Sacramento and Fairfield, though.

But I kept my hands on the wheel and off the horn. Still, there was much grumbling going on in my head.

we just got done driving 14 hours.

it’s hard NOT to have road rage with all the crappy, clueless, distracted drivers on the road. i try to keep my stuff together, but occasionally must lose it. i don’t honk or tailgate, i just freak out. i always tell my horn happy husband the exact thing… that guy could have a gun or be a total psycho! it’s a scary world of freeways out there.

Just last week, in our area, a federal agent was shot and killed as a result of road rage. Apparently, the suspect was provoked to the point where he grabbed a gun out of his glove compartment and just shot the guy.

I have to agree with hellomelissa. It’s hard not to have road rage with the way people drive. I try to stay in the middle lane and try to stay close to the speed limit, but try driving with all these eighty year olds that can barely see over the steering wheel. The state of Florida really needs to do something about these kind of drivers.
