If the answer to life, the universe, and everything is indeed 42,
and my age currently is also 42,
why the hell has this year indeed sucked so fucking much?
Just wondering. A message? Cruel joke? Or merely coincidence?

*1st, I know I’m a huge dork. 2nd, I have indeed had a glass of wine before writing this. 3rd, Maya is obviously watching The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which is funny as hell, and also, distracting as hell when I’m trying to read my book. So I’ve given up on the reading.

42 was a good year for me, but this year, 43, has been tough. Personal health problems, collapsing economy. So, maybe it’s not the fact that you’re 42. Maybe it’s just stupid 2008. In any case, I just hope that election day (four days before my 44th birthday) turns things around.

That’s a key text from my childhood! And a key memory – sitting in the lounge with headphones on listening to the original radio show knowing that my parents had no idea what I was listening too.
2008 – difficult year all round, though.

I love THHG, but have not been able to bring myself to see the movie. I think at one time I watched a BBC version or something, but it was disappointing.

I watched the movie “The Number 23” last night! That was one weird movie! I didn’t know “42” sucked too????LOL!!!!
