Meme Monday

This one rang especially true the other day when my daughter asked me if I had seen her vaccination card. She needed it for work. The last time I remember seeing it was when we were in Maui, though I know she brought it home with her. But where beyond that. Did she carelessly set it down? Or did she deliberately set it down somewhere safe, and forget? The problem with living with other people is that often we don’t know WHO might have set something aside for safe keeping. I assume it was her, it’s her card. But who knows. Maybe I put it somewhere, or my husband did. Sigh.

Friday, we went to get our booster shots at a local pharmacy, the big name places being totally booked. She didn’t have her card, but she had the information from it, and they created a new card for her. Problem solved.

Saturday we felt kind of crummy, some of us worse than others, though all of us had very sore arms. (Ted and Maya had headaches and chills, I got of easy with just the sore arm). Good to plan most any vaccine on a Friday, in case of side effects.

Sunday our vacuum cleaner died, so we had to go get a new one. We ended up getting a bagless model at Costco. So far, it looks to be really good with the dog hair. That is a serious blessing for us.

Do you need vaccination cards where you are? Here, we have to have them to eat indoors at a restaurant, thought not for outdoor dining. How about for work? My company, and my daughter’s company, require proof of vaccination to come into the office, or attend a company party. I’m going to a company party in a week or so, and the fact that people need vaccination to attend makes me MUCH more comfortable to attend. I will still wear a mask unless I am eating dinner.

As long as I don’t misplace my mask, that is… (not that I would, we have plenty, just trying to wrap up the post…)

That pie chart is me, me, me. I still cannot find where I put my cinnamon sugar because I put it in a new place. Even as I put it there, I said OUT LOUD TO MYSELF and the cats, “This is a big mistake because I will never find it again.” Prophecy.

And how many places can it be? My kitchen is tiny. Perhaps I will make today The Day I Find The Cinnamon Sugar in an all-out search.

I immediately put our vaxx cards in a folder in our safe after we each took a photo of them with our phones. Rick took his out for his booster, and heaven only knows if it’s ever made it back to the proper spot. Mine did, of course.

Perhaps that’s where I should look for my cinnamon sugar, in the safe. It feels like the only place I haven’t looked yet. Sheesh.

Good luck finding your cinnamon sugar! I don’t think I’ve ever purchased such a thing. I’ve mixed some for a recipe or two, and I’ve sprinkled sugar and then cinnamon on my buttered toast, but I don’t think it would occur to me to purchase it. Maybe Santa will put some in your stocking? In a nice bottle that is, not just dumped in there…

My vaxx card lives in my purse, and Ted’s is on the fridge. No idea where Maya’s is. Her new improved one is on the fridge, which is a good idea. She is a fashionista, and switches purses often…perhaps it is in one of those.

I didn’t purchase it; I mixed my own in a little sprinkle bottle to use on toast and English muffins. Yesterday’s search was again fruitless. I absolutely would not have tossed it, so I’m really flummoxed.

This means only one thing: I will make a new batch. That all but guarantees that the old one will turn up almost immediately.

Absolutely, you will go to put it away and presto, the new one will pop up. Perhaps Rick will come into the room, confused, and say, ‘Nance, why was your cinnamon sugar in the medicine cabinet?’
