My most favorite XTC song of all time.

ok, So for the last day my un-qualified comment has been bugging me.
And I think that is why I like this song so much. Because it makes a person think, at least this person.
As a kid I liked this song for its musicallity, and as I got older I liked that it made it ok for me to question and to think, not just accept the stories I was being told to believe.
I’d far rather be a thinking person then a sheep.
Ok, I feel better now.

Cherry, it is indeed a song that can make you think. And if you think things through, and decide that God and religion don’t work for you, that you just can’t make that leap of faith, then that’s fine. And if you think things through, and you CAN make that leap of faith, that’s fine too. I agree, the ones I don’t like much, on both sides, are those who just follow along, not thinking.
