This was a twisty turny type mystery thriller type book. Some of the reveals near the end felt like they came out of nowhere, but maybe if I listened to it again there would have been a bit of foreshadowing. I liked it, it was suspenseful and kept me engaged, but now that a few weeks have passed, I had to look it up to remember what the heck it was about. Recommended.

Ooh, this sounds good. I’ve heard about it from a couple other places too. Maybe I’ll add it to my enormous TBR.

My parents watched a Nicole Kidman movie called “The Bangkok Hilton” when I was a kid (spolier alert, it may have been where Johan stayed too) and it scarred me for life, yo!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO MARRY OTHER PEOPLE WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THEM? Seriously. Like marriage is just a thing you do on the spur of the moment. I just can’t, J. I CANNOT.

Oooh I have seen this around, but haven’t read anything about it. Might be exactly my jam.

I have a bad habit of wanting to read the end to figure out the twists; I get nervous about them, even though it’s just fiction!

I had to return this before I read it, and I am really hoping to happen upon it on the walk-in shellf one of these days.
