How To Fold A Sheet

Fold A Fitted Sheet With Perfectly Squared Corners

I’m out of town for a few days, on a short business trip. Since I have nothing really to say myself, being out of town and all, I’ll tell you that Gina mentioned on her blog the other day that she can’t fold a fitted sheet to save her life. In the comments, chichimama posted the link to this video. If there are any (probably not) readers to my blog who don’t already read Gina’s blog, AND if you give a rat’s ass about how to properly fold a fitted sheet, watch and learn. I couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of the final product, nor could I help noticing that the instructor is a married man. Awesome. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever put this information to use, but one never knows…

You know, this was the best thing I watched this morning. I roll mine up in a ball-square-mash. I might try this method one day. Or post my own. THANKS!

This was one of the first things I taught Eric when we started going out, taught to me by a VERY picky and neat friend of mine. He also taught me the “proper” t-shirt and jeans folding techniques learned while he worked at Sears. Very handy information to have, but my corners never come out QUITE as neat. I just don’t take that much time.

The fact that it took him over 2 minutes to do the folding it proof that you don’t need to bother. Just half-ass it and get into a square-ish shape. 🙂

That is cool. All of my sheets look like rumpled balls of rags. Damn you metrosexual sheet folding, man!

I know how to fold a fitted sheet, but in a lot shorter time that that bloke. It does look pretty, doesn’t it?

I think I’ll have to agree with Py on this one. Why spend time folding a fitted sheet? I guess I’m not anal retentive after all! YAY!

Fold? One set of sheets on the bed, one set of sheets in the wash, do the wash the day you change the sheets, put them on the bed, and your other pair of sheets is, once again, in the wash. Then you can leave a the rest of the sheets permanently perfect.

I can’t ever get those damn things folded.

    Boo!

But! I think you already got this, but just had to tag you again if you did, because you are definitely worth two… that’s for sure.

I awarded you with a thoughtful blogger award on my page… please drop by when you get a chance, and pick it up.

    Best,

    I enjoyed this post J.
It reminded me of this sweet old German lady that worked at my local laundrymat back in the 80’s. She taught me how to fold a fitted sheet just like that.
I was very surprized when i got married and my wife didn’t know how to do it?
