Wedding Day!

Today is the day when our dear friends, Cherry and Eric, are getting married. (No, this isn’t their cake…I found this picture here.) So far, it looks like she couldn’t have asked for better weather…it can be kind of hot here in late June, or, conversely, we can get some of that SF fog, and it can be downright chilly. Looks like mostly sunny skies, and smiles all around.

I hope that everything comes out wonderfully today….they have been planning this day for months now, and I want it all to be just right for them. But even if the cake doesn’t look how it’s supposed to look, or if a flower girl falls down and gets a bloody knee on the way up the aisle, because SOMETHING always goes wrong…but at the end of the day, they will be married, which is the point after all, and the best part of the whole thing. And I know already that it will be a beautiful day, Cherry will be a GORGEOUS bride, Eric will be handsome and charming, and everyone will eat good bbq and have lots of fun. I feel so privileged to be a part of this very special day, the day when you start out the rest of your lives together. May you have a lifetime of love and happiness, and may your troubles be few and far between.

There, gosh, I’ve gotten all mushy. I totally didn’t mean to. Time for cake!
