YAY!!!!!
That’s the end of my gloating. But after having my heart broken in 2000 and 2004, I’m thrilled. And having not just any not-Bush, but a man who I feel like I can truly get behind, a man I respect and admire, win the White House…..well, this is an amazing day indeed.
I’ve said this before, but this is the first election in my life where I have had the opportunity to vote for someone I could truly believe in. I go to sleep happy indeed.

It’s been an amazing night, and it all seems so unreal…

As sweet as this victory is, there is a bitter aftertaste for myself and my fellow Alaskans as we take one for the team by taking Sarah Palin back as the Governor of our fine state. We hope that you appreciate our sacrifice and hope that we can someday make it up to the rest of nation for electing that vapid moron into office in the first place.

YAY! I am relieved and overjoyed by the outcome of this election. YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!
John
I’m so thrilled with the outcome of this election. I believe it is so important to shake our country out of the downward spiral we’ve been living through; to (hopefully) heal parts of our divided culture; and to let the wider world know that there’s more to who we are as a nation than the soon to be former President represented.
I also have to say that I was very impressed with how gracious McCain’s concession speech was.

Finally, a leader who represents all Americans, a leader with hope and humilty –

R,
Your check’s in the mail. Wait, you already got it…. 😉
John,
Part of me thinks this gracious McCain was the McCain he wanted to be, and the bitter and divisive McCain was who he thought he had to be in order to win, after he lost so painfully in 2000. I was impressed as well.
John
J,
I think you’re right. I’m glad that, though McCain made a significant mistake in his approach, he finished well and showed himself at his best tonight.

Congrats, J! 🙂
I thought Obama’s speech tonight was inspiring and full of hope. I was crying tears of joy seeing the celebration and witnessing history being made in America today.

It was all that I hoped for – I’m happy!

This is the first time in memory that I was truly concerned with the outcome of a national election. I am thrilled that Americans voted for change on so many levels. I had the pleasure of seeing our president-elect speak in my small town and I was truly inspired…from that point I said I am in…I believe him, I trust him, I respect him. Last night falling asleep I said again…I’m IN…bring it on.

I have read this over and over this morning, and it’s finally starting to penetrate through the haze of disbelief.
So many are saying the same thing: That they’ve never known the victory of actually having the candidate they believe in, win. They’ve never seen someone they thought was a *good* man take the presidency. All these people are just so amazed, almost don’t know what to do with the feeling of being on the winning team, of having our guy win!
They came out in droves to make this happen. I’ve never been one to sling around campaign slogans, or take up the chant, but gosh darnit,
Yes We Can!

Oooops!…I’m sorry…I thought this was “Wordless Wednesday”?….Well, I guess it better be for me anyway! I’ll go to my room now!
