Oddly enough, the Wordle word for last Friday was GRIEF. I saw a Western Bluebird on my (lonely) walk yesterday, and when looking it up to see what kind of bird it was, I read that some people feel they represent a connection between the living and those who have passed away. I like to think it was a symbol that he is at peace now. We all miss him so very much, and working from home is hard without him.
It’s such a strange time. Always feeling like he should be in the house, and then the realization that he’s gone just adds to those moments of sadness.
The photo of Mulder walking forward with his tongue out is delightful. That, to me, is pure dog. I’m sorry he’s gone, but your photo montage makes me smile.
Thanks Ally. I use the ‘live’ feature on my phone camera, and I’ve really been enjoying watching the little videos of him. The one with his tongue out is one of those. What a good boy.
Oh, I am so sorry. I think about the sheer number of hours you’ve spent with Mulder and the silence without him there must be overwhelming. Hugs to you.
NGS, it’s so hard to have him gone. I think we all loved him the same, but being the person who was home all day every day with him, it’s hitting me the hardest. Sigh. Every time I come downstairs I don’t see him, every time I get up I don’t see him, every time I go to the store at lunch, I don’t see him, every time I cough or clear my throat, he doesn’t come jump on me, etc. I went out for a couple of hours today, and it felt really good.

Mulder was such a cute dog. His loss must feel so massive, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with this level of grief. It is truly gut-wrenching. <3
