This would be 1987, right after I moved to San Francisco. The other thing I’m very glad to have of my mom’s is her photo albums. I don’t think I had seen this picture before. ML, it brings tears to my eyes, too, because I know I will never get to hug my mom again. Huge sigh.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that picture before. The one I’m used to seeing from that time is where your mom is hugging you and you have that smile that says: “Okay mom, I think this hug is going on too long.” This picture is much nicer, though. 🙂
Isn’t there something about a hug when they place their hands on your neck? I think there is. When I saw that photo, I thought of the one person who did that to me.
