Love seeing these signs of spring, especially the magnolias (which we NEO people generically call tulip trees). We’ve been getting some crazy warm days, and our trees and bulbs are starting to react in a springlike way. It has been a very odd February.
Nance, I usually call them tulip trees too! The flowers do look like tulips. I don’t remember what time of year it was when you were here, but the garden we went to visit has some really beautiful tulip trees. The other day I posted a similar picture on Facebook, and someone asked, ‘Is that a magnolia?’ and of course it is, so it stuck.

Thanks Sarah, I thought that some folks in colder climates might like to know that there is hope for Spring…

Beautiful photos! I love seeing pictures of where people live although I’m too verbose to do a wordless post.
J
I didn’t quite manage wordless, did I? Close.

Beautiful! It is supposed to get very cold and snowy here next week, so it is lovely to see these blooms.

Thanks Nicole! I did hope that it didn’t seem like bragging or something, to those in colder climates.

Oh, I’m so jealous. It looks lovely – please enjoy flowering trees extra hard on my behalf!
J
NGS, I shall! I do love the flowers in the early spring. Not so much the allergies that accompany them, however.

How beautiful! Spring is on its way!
J
It certainly is! I hope we get some more rain around here, though I would like to stipulate NOT ALL AT ONCE.

I love the flowering trees of spring. Especially a nice magnolia. Beautiful.

Me too, they are my favorites.
