I took so much hope from each of these things yesterday… Let’s keep going, let’s keep hoping… let’s keep fighting!

Thanks for writing all those postcards and showing up to the takedowns, J!

I was SO HEARTENED by these, even though I would have loved a win in Florida to flip the house, I knew how unlikely it was. YES, let’s keep showing up!

I know, it’s frustrating. But these were very conservative parts of Florida, so to flip those seats would have been a shock (a GOOD shock). That they budged as much as they did is a good thing.

Let’s hear it for Wisconsin! It’s so much more than a beautiful place where our mutual friends live. And go Cory Booker!!! I missed the detail in the FL story about the republican margin going down, so that’s for pointing that out.

This is a Wordless Wednesday with a lot to say!

I was stuck on the 25 hour speech. And you can’t even leave for potty breaks? That is real commitment.

I’ve been too nervous to check the news yet today in light of the wider tarriffs slated to go into effect…it feels like any day the world might literally start blowing up. Sigh.

You can stop to go to the bathroom I think, but he didn’t. He fasted – hadn’t eaten since Friday, didn’t have anything to drink since Sunday. I can’t believe the physical feat that he went through to do that. Incredible.

Regarding the tariffs, I am hoping that these elections will cause some re-thinking, but I seriously doubt it.

Thank you for your hard work, J., in the Wisconsin race. It was a big one, and it cost the republicans a lot more than cash. On, Wisconsin!

And Sen. Cory Booker–Rick and I watched a great deal of his speech and the supportive questions from fellow Democrats (Where were you, Sen. John Fetterman?). He was moving and heroic.

Florida will be lost for some time, but the margins show that some people are at least Thinking.

Dems need to seize this moment and mobilize.

We did it! Foward Wisconsin! I do hope it’s a bellweather of what’s ahead. I was relieved when Schimel conceded, too. (I can’t believe I’m crediting him for doing the bare minimum of being a gracious loser, but we are where we are in this world.)
