My home office. Last week I purchased this little add on to my desk, which converts it from a regular sitting desk into a standing desk. I like it. I had hoped it would be easier to switch back and forth between sitting and standing, but I’m figuring it out. My goal is 50/50 sitting and standing, but thus far it’s about 75/25 standing/sitting. The one thing I don’t like is that it’s somewhat painful to stand barefoot all day. I like being barefoot more than I like wearing good shoes with support. I’m sure I’ll learn to adjust. Easier now with cool fall weather, where next summer when it might be hot to wear shoes, we’ll see what happens. Maybe I’ll have to buy some sandals with good support.
I move between work stations at my job and one of my desks is now a standing desk. I love it!
As for wanting to be barefoot, why not invest in one of those floor pads they sell through cooking stores and office supply places that is designed to diminish leg and foot fatigue for people who stand while working?
