1. Sterling roses my MIL brought over on Sunday. 🙂
2. Regular roses blooming in my yard. This plant was also a gift from my wonderful MIL. Thanks, CG!
3. The outlet behind our dryer, which apparently tried to burn our house down on Sunday. The breaker and dryer both behaved appropriately and stopped it in its tracks. So…no fire. The electrician came out yesterday and re-wired everything. No charge, since his company is the one that came out and set it up to begin with, just 2 years ago. So I guess they see the burn marks on the wall and say, “Um, better comp this one…”
Wow. Roses. We don’t even have leaves on our trees here yet, and there’s frost warned here for tonight. Sigh. I can’t wait fast enough to run away from here when I retire.
A.B., the burn marks we could definitely have done without.
CG, they do look nice, don’t they? Esp in the bathroom there.
Nance, we have such mild weather out here. No humidity, not too cold. It’s 87 right now, though, and I’m suffering from allergies. And our real estate prices are insane. Then there’s the earthquakes, fires, and mudslides. Still, I do like it.
That burn sure looks scary — because it is! I’m glad we didn’t have a fire as well, and I guess we’ll never leave the house again with appliances on, huh. Not to say that we were out of the house when the power wire came off the cap (because we weren’t), but it’s a sobering picture that will serve as a good reminder to turn the washer/dryer and dishwasher OFF before venturing out of the house.

Love the roses. So soft and fragrant– all the way over here on the other side of the internet. 🙂
Dislike the burn marks. Glad there was no fire. Better comp this one, indeed.
