J, is that your bike? I remember when I taught in Japan, I rode my bike EVERYWHERE! I didn’t own a car (though the school I taught at had a company car that we could use if we wanted to), so I always walked or biked to wherever I was going. Well, I also took the train and the bullet train if we went on trips outside of the town I taught in.
BTW – my bike moved from the old place’s attic, into this new place’s “attic” and not the easy access garage we finally have. Apparently Eric doesn’t have much faith it’ll be ridden much still. Sigh.
This is my new bike…Sadly, I inherited it from our next door neighbor, who passed away last month, far too young. She suffered from complications associated with Lupus.
Remember last year, when I bought a pretty new bike, but then I was laid off a few days later. So I returned the bike. This bike isn’t as beautiful, but it’s a better ride. SMOOTH….
I’m sorry for how you acquired this new smooth ride. It does look like a great bike though! And just right for the cruising you like to do. You should totally go grocery shopping for tonight’s dinner with the bike!

This post just reminded me of those times 🙂

Now I know what to look for on the local trails! It’s a very nice bike and looks very comfy. I see many fun rides in your future. 🙂

I always love a picture with a bike… especially ones with a basket in the front. =)
