Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
It’s so smokey and hazy around here lately. We sleep with our windows open, and I fall asleep and awaken to the smell of smoke. There are hundreds of fires in Northern California right now,  and they’re contributing to making the air quality pretty darned bad. So folks with asthma and so on need to stay inside. Thankfully, the fog has come in and cooled things off a bit, because otherwise, we’d be in even deeper shit than we are right now.

Oh, no! I need to turn on the news and see what’s going on there. Be safe!

No worries for our safety, except in the allergy dept…the fires are all forest fires and grass fires, and we live in a pretty populated area. Still, it’s sad and kind of gross.

I am living in the mountains of Northern California SURROUNDED by these fires…and on evacuation alert. It is horrible here. See my post about it.

It was really bad earlier today, but now it seems to be clearing up.

How odd that if there isn’t a danger of pollution from car emissions there is another by fires… It does sound terrible to know that the air you are breathing is not healthy.

There was ash flying around here on Monday. I can’t even see Mt. Diablo (Cherry was saying the same thing). We normally leave our door open at work to let our cat in and out. But I have to close it because I start wheezing 🙁
