It’s just amazing how much time and prep and post work it took to get that one image. I’ve heard it a million times how much make up, hair, lighting, and photoshopping is done with these fashion photos, but to see the process compressed in a minute or so is another thing.
Awesome video! Other than the hours of prep, I wonder what their diets look like. My photographer airbrushed my wedding pics, but just to hide my braces – I hope!
The self-esteem bit for girls is a tricky one. But what a cool thing for your mom to send. Cool for Maya. Scary for woman-kind.
I think I’d have to show Maya this: http://jellyjules.com/?p=344
If she ever gets down next week, next month, next year – or in her 20’s.
This picture…and most importantly, Maya is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t know her – or you – but..this picture just radiates with such a beautiful essence. And that, not everyone has. A naturally beautiful essence. That a total stranger can pick up on via a photo. It’s hard to explain those things to young girls & have them understand it. What that girl has, many would love to buy bottles of. If it were only that easy.
Such a tender, delicate age.
My daughter is two. And I’m already worried that I’m totally going to screw this up…….
That is very cool, and very real as to what the advertisers do to get your money. I hope people see those commercials and realize they dont have to go on Dr 90210 and make themselves “better” than they ARE.

Wow! That was a very interesting concoction. Why does fake equate with the preception of beauty? Not my perception, thank goodness!
