Looks like it’s a go…

Mom did great with her walking and breathing exercises, so her lungs are ready for surgery. That’s a relief. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning, first thing. It’s a longish surgery, so I won’t know until afternoon how it went. Alaska is an hour earlier than California. So you may not hear from me until later tomorrow. I’ll let you know asap, OK?

    I’m so glad to hear that your mom has gotten stronger and the doctors have cleared her for surgery! We will be anxiously awaiting news.

    Prayers for your mom (not that I’m sure any supreme being hears them, but it’s the same as good wishes, right?) and for you, too.

    I’m light a candle for her. The wonderful thing about most heart surgery is that the patient does feel a lot better quickly after. As you said in her last post, all of a sudden she can breathe and feel more energetic. May she feel well again soon.

    That’s good news that your Mom is strong enough for surgery! Let us know as soon as you can the outcome. We’re all waiting anxiously.

    I’ve been MIA and missed out on all the news of your mom. So sorry to hear she’s having trouble, but glad to hear the surgery is a go.

    I’ll repeat what everyone else is saying with ‘take care of yourself’ and ‘you are in my prayers’.

    Know that the Dept. is standing strong for you and your mom. Good to know also that plans are in the works to bring her closer to you down the road. Sigh. Family….
