But if you’re in a position where it doesn’t hurt your wallet, and if you’re at all inclined, we’ve set up a fund to help pay for Maya’s Granny to move from Juneau to California.  My brother Richard is taking this on, and it’s a chunk o’ change, let me tell you.  Change he doesn’t have, except on a credit line.  So, if you’re interested in making any kind of contribution, run on over to this post, where there is a link to Richard’s paypal account.  And if you don’t have paypal, and want to help out with a check, you can email me and I’ll send you a snail mail address for Richard.   j_asregadoo AT yahoo DOT com.

    It’s not so much about not hurting the wallet, but for each person trying to bear a little of the load. Your mom has gone through so much in the last weeks, and I am sure she is also worried about the burden she has had to transfer onto you and your brother… do hope many people can help, each in their own way.

    When you told me how much it was going to cost to move your mom down to CA, I was stunned. And I’m stunned (in a good way) by the way in which people have dropped a few coins into the tip jar for the move.

    J, I’ve been sending the positive vibes to MG for some time now, and you, your family, and R&K are in my thoughts, too…I know MG from a Little online community that she’s been a big part of, and she’s a real champ. I know she’ll pull through this, and that she’ll be an even stronger force with which to reckon. Please know that you’re all in my thoughts, and tell R that when he gets snail-mail from San Leon, TX, that’s me. And that he can feel free to email me and say, “Where in the hell is San Leon??” Take care, J. You and R are doing your mom proud!!
