Love the Nicholas Cage quote, and I learned pretty quickly that you like gold instead of silver. 🙂

Oh, so sorry about your mother. I was just lamenting the fact that Mother’s Day ads are driving me crazy on Twitter, today, and I got a wonderful suggestion from author Elise Blackwell (soon to be published by Unbridled Books). Last year, after my mom’s funeral I planted a clematis in my mother’s memory because she adored her purple clematis. Elise suggested doing something in her memory for Mother’s Day to turn the occasion into a positive one. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that, but now I’m planning to plant something new on Mother’s Day, every year. She did love her garden. Isn’t that a great idea?
As a side note, the purple clematis bloomed for the first time, this year, on the anniversary of her death. How cool is that? Hugs to you. Birthdays are a sore reminder of how we longed to see our parents grow old. Both of mine are gone, now.
