DoSoEvAyMo
Hopped on over to a new blog today (not a new blog, but you know, new to me, found her through the whole NaBloPoMo thing), and loved what she had to say about creativity and letting loose in her writing.  Went from there over to another blog, The Letter W (justsohappens this was Maya’s favorite letter way back when she was learning them), and saw an idea I’m going to incorporate. Do Something Every Day Month, aka, DoSoEvAyMo. So…I’ll post my regular posts, and at the bottom, I’ll add what it is that I’m hoping to do that day. By the way, this is pretty much NOT her point…her point, I believe, was that she’s more interested in doing something than in writing about it, so it’s her way of pushing back from the blogging a bit, I think. But I’m going to just take it and twist it my way, because I’m like that, right? Because I think we all do things every day, at least I hope so, but I like the idea of keeping a record of it, remembering the thing that I wanted to do, and seeing, gosh, did I get it done? I’m starting with today, right here, three things I want to do, and will hopefully get done.  I’ll keep it up until the end of November. Or maybe I’ll make it a whole month, and go until the middle of December. We’ll see.
1. Give blood (check…yay me!). Â
2. Buy tickets to Portland to see my new baby nephew. That’s a gift from my dad and stepmom (check…yay them!).
3. Go see Ted’s cousin play in her High School Volleyball tournement. First time ever for us to see her play. Groovy, huh? (Not check yet…this one is this evening…yay team!)

I’m so glad that you found my blog and you found it on the right day. Up until today it was in a short hibernation. I really like your blog and was just putting it into my reader when I noticed that you did a DoSoEvAyMo inspired by me. Wow, I’m flattered. I have to catch up on mine to say the things I’ve accomplished.
Thanks!

Those are some nice goals for the month of November.

Interesting, I’ve seen a couple other things about creativity and it’s had me thinking. It takes me a while to formulate posts like that.

That’s a fun idea!

Good idea about your blog. This summer I had weekly goals or in some cases challenges I posted. It helped me get out of a rut.

This is a good thing for you since you like making lists…and then checking them off when you’re finished. Well, maybe you don’t really *like* making lists, but they are helpful in organizing your day. 🙂
And wasn’t that a great Volleyball game!

Py, I do like making lists, I’ll admit it. 🙂 Maybe not grocery lists, but Christmas lists and lists of things I need to get done. It’s satisfying to look at it and see everything accomplished at the end of the day.
And yes, a great volleyball game! Cousin’s team won, but it was a nail biter for a while there!
