Monday ‘4’ Meme
I was tagged for this little meme by amuirin , and since I’ve been doing a meme every Monday for NaBloPoMo, it’s perfect. Black Belt Mama tagged me for another one, but it’s more difficult, so I’m thinking it can be for next Monday.
4 words to describe my response to this meme:
Amused (it’s a cute one, and a new bloggy friend tagged me. Yay!)
Grateful (because of NaBloPoMo)
Annoyed (sometimes memes can be tiring and uninspiring…)
Bored (see annoyed, above)
4 jobs I’ve had:
Waitress/Hostess at Mr. Steak
Front Desk Clerk/Concierge at a fancy hotel
Horse poop picker-upper in exchange for horseback riding opportunities
Business Analyst at various IT firms. That’s kinda what I do now.
4 movies I’ll watch over and over:
Out of Africa
Flashdance (the shame of it all…)
Sleepless in Seattle (anytime it’s on TV, I don’t own it)
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Doesn’t really get old)
4 places I’ve lived:
San Francisco (1987 – 1994)
Philadelphia (1994 – 1996)
Fairbanks (1970 – 1975)
Stockton (1975 – 1987 except for one year in Campbell)
4 shows I watch:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD. I’ve recently gotten all addicted again lately. Blame Maya.
Take Home Chef
Heroes (Is it just me, or is this season lacking the excitement of last season?)
Battlestar Galactica
4 foods I love:
Tomatoes
Wine
Raspberries
Good steak
4 places I’ve been:
Hawaii
Paris
London
Amsterdam
4 websites I go to daily:
Yahoo mail
My mom’s blog
Yahoo main page
My own blog 😉
(I should say Py’s blog, because I go there almost every day, but I know that he doesn’t post every day, so if there’s no post, I might miss a day…)
4 places I might rather be:
Hawaii – on vacation
Alaska – visiting family
Paris – on vacation
Oregon – visiting family
4 people I’m now tagging with this meme:
I’m going to tag all NaBloPoMo folks, since they might be needing some blog fodder right about now. But feel free to grab this is you’re so inclined:
Cherry Extract
Black Belt Mama
the star shine report
A day in the life...

1. Today will be much filled with getting work done, since we have a 3 day work week, and 5 days of work to do in it. That’s OK.
2. Tonight, we’re taking Maya and her friend to a sneak preview of Enchanted…Ted got free tickets through the station. Yay!

Please write about your thoughts on Enchanted. I have been looking for a movie to take my 7 year old to for my DoSoEvAyMo and there is really nothing out right now for the two of us.

Will do, bibliomom…look for it here on Friday. 🙂

I love all the movies you said you could watch over and over again, same here with Sleepless in Seattle. Never bought it, but still have watched it over and over.
J & Bibliomom- If you get the chance, I’d highly recommend ‘Mr Magorium’s Magic Emporium’, which I think just came out this last weekend. We went yesterday and I keep thinking about little moments in it. Really well done, and a good watch for both kids and adults. I wanted more. I hardly ever feel that way at the end of a movie.

Those were fun (and quick)! 🙂 But I can see how Memes can be a bit tiresome.

I love tomatoes and steak, too! Next time we get together, we should go to a steakhouse!

I was watching the movie Down to You, with Freddie Prince JR and Julia Stiles today and older movie. In the movie Freddie’s dad Henry Winkler?? came up with this idea for a TV show. They would get a van and fill it with food of all kinds, then drive it around the country and pop into different peoples homes, ask them what they like, make this yummy dish and teach them how to cook it. I personally think that movie was the inspiration for the Take Home Chef to pitch to the network.

O Brother Where Art Thou and Out of Africa are my tops too.
