Nance, my sister Maya has the original. I printed the picture for a little collage I put together for Dia de Muertos last week, but I have left it there, rather than putting it in my wallet. I think I will get a smaller copy on regular paper (rather than photo paper) and put it in my wallet, at some point. I’ve been meaning to.
Ally, I had not heard of him before. My dad was a voracious reader, and must have read some of his books, and clearly was struck by that passage. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henri_Nouwen
I was reading the Wiki on him and thought of my SF State mentor Gene Weinstein when I read this about his speaking style and the gestures he made during his sermons: “He would point his fingers down and rotate his wrists as through trying to stir a separate little pot with each digit..”

Do you keep it in yours now, or have you gotten it framed for your bedside table, or…?
That’s a great keepsake to have.

Ditto what nance said. Who is Henri Nouwen? Should I know about him? Is this another hole in my education?
