Fast Friday Five

  1. Finally talked to a few people yesterday about my mom. Seems that if you want people to call you back, they’re more likely to do so if you give them your phone number. I thought it was in the file….she’s feeling much better, got up and around a bit, and started eating, which is good, because she’s been pretty queasy, thus not eating until today. It’s a slow recovery, but at least it’s going in the right direction.
  2. Speaking of mom, the move fund has raised just over $1,000 already, and that’s just paypal folks. We can’t say how thankful we are. Thank you.
  3. LaLuna’s birthday was yesterday. Happy Birthday, LaLuna!
  4. Maya and I are going camping tomorrow…she’s staying for two nights, with her girl scout troop. I’m only staying the first night…I want to sleep in my bed and spend some time with Ted, too.
  5. Guess who’s going to be a TV family? (rhymes with gielsen…) That’s right, we’ll be shaping the future of television, just by what we watch on TV. So we’ll be accepting bribes to watch whatever it is you want to keep around…but don’t blame us for reality TV, because we don’t watch that. Not even for cash.

Happy Friday!

Have a wonderful carefree (or as much as you can muster) few days with your daughter. She could probably use an un-distracted mom right now.

You can hardly imagine my surprise and delight finding your charming thank you note in my post box this afternoon. Is it proper to thank someone for a thank you note? Who cares. You are a dear and I really do hope your mom starts feeling much better soon.

Wow! You are one busy family!!! I’m happy to hear that your mom is doing so well. I hope you and Maya have a wonderful camping trip AND Happy Birthday, La Luna!

Really? No Reality TV eh? And what would you call your Curtis Stone? Huh? He may be hot, and cooking, but it’s still a reality show. And what about What Not To Wear? Hmm?

I am so thrilled to hear that your mom is starting to eat and walk a little bit. I was so sad to hear she’s been so queasy. Those are some strong meds they have her on!

Cherry, you got me there. I guess what I meant was the contest type shows, like American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. I hate seeing people voted off every week, so I don’t watch. But non-scripted shows count too. I take it back. 😉

    Hi J,
I am Kathryn and I am also in the SF Bay Area…East Bay to be exact and to give you more Contra Costa County. Sounds like we could be neighbors.

Glad to hear your mom is recovering.

If you have the time, please stop by my blog and take a look around.

    Artful Blessings,
    Kathryn
