10-20-30 Virus

I saw this one over on Autumn’s Mom and Ms. Mamma, and thought I would do it myself. 🙂 The idea is, I tell you what I was doing 10 years ago, 20 years ago, and 30 years ago. Since I’m over 40, I added 40 to this meme. Feel free to join in and do this one as well, if you’re interested.

10 years ago – 1997 – I was working as an HR Assistant at a small local company, and not really loving it. Actually, I got passed over for a promotion I wanted, which led me to accepting a job that was a much better match for me anyway, where I met some of my best friends. 🙂

20 years ago – 1987 – I had recently moved to San Francisco. I had just met my father for the first time in my life, which pretty much threw me for a huge loop. I was living in an awesome flat with a pretty good roomie, away from my mom for the first time. Going to college, working to pay the rent, loving San Francisco. Oh, and I had just noticed that one of the guys in my Speech class was a very nice guy, and pretty cute to boot.

30 years ago – 1977 – 5th grade in Campbell, CA. This was a crappy year for my family, though I don’t think anything horrid really happened to us there. I just remember all of us being somewhat stressed and not very happy there. When you’re thrilled to move from any place to Stockton, CA, you know that place isn’t great. Campbell was that place for us.

40 years ago – 1967 – Honestly, I don’t even know where we were living at this point. We moved a lot when I was very small…I was going on 2 at this point, and I know we lived in Berkeley, Redwood City, and Stockton between my being born and when we moved to Alaska in 1970, and maybe we lived a few other places as well. Not sure. I’m guessing Berkeley.
