10 Things I Love That Begin With The Letter “M”….and 10 that I don’t…
Lotus was assigned “B” by Heather, and then Lotus assigned me the letter “M”. So, here we go, Ten Things I Love That Begin With “M”. And, because my brain just works this way, 10 things that I don’t love, that also start with an “M”.
- Maya – Of course, she’s my baby, and my very favorite “M” of all.
Mondays– Duh.- Marriage – Of course, it helps that I married Py. If I had a crappy marriage, this wouldn’t make it on my list. But happily, it’s there.
Muscrat Love– Duh again.- Moms – I’m a mom, and it’s the greatest thing ever. My mom is a mom, so are my Grandmas, many of my friends, many of my favorite bloggers, etc. Moms rock!
Motorhead– Even when I was posing as a metal head in High School, they sounded like they were gargling dirty cat litter.- Music– I love many forms of music…rock, pop, classical, jazz, reggae, some folk, a little country…just love it all.
Mangos– Nothing against them…Ted, Maya, many many people love them. I just don’t.- Movies – A good movie is a great thing. Love to see them in the theater, with some popcorn…love to see them at home, with no popcorn. I just love movies. Not all of them, clearly, but a good movie can stick with you like a good book. Love it.
Manteca– Although the water slides there are fun, there’s not much else. And in Spanish, Manteca = Lard. Need I say more?- Museums – There’s something about wiling away a couple of hours in a museum, looking at the work of someone’s creative juices, that sooths me, and makes me feel like the world is a better place for it.
Meat Muffins– I’ve tried, but no, not so much.- Margaritas – Blended, with salt. I know, on the rocks is the cool way to order them, but I’ve never claimed to be cool.
Montana– I’m sure it’s beautiful, but I’ve never been there, and it seems like it might be kind of cold this time of year.- Monterey – If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. Such a charming, pretty town, right on the ocean, with fog and Cyprus trees, great food, nice neighborhoods. If only the housing prices weren’t so INSANE, I’d move there in a minute.
Megaphones– Just too loud. I have kind of sensative ears…loud noises make me jumpy.- Magnolia Trees – I love the cool branches, such a deep, velvety green. I love the white flowers, so sturdy looking, yet delicate. My favorite tree is the tulip tree, which is a variety of Magnolia. And, to top it all off, Magnolia trees have been around for eons, and were the preferred food source of one of the best dinosaurs, the Mayasaura. Otherwise known as “Good Mother”. They’ve got it all.
Moon Pies– OK, I don’t really have anything against these. I was just running out of ideas.- Milk – In all of its yummy forms…cheese, ice cream, yogurt, drinking, butter, whipped cream…YUM. Yay milk!
Mashed Sweet Potatoes– I made this last night, 1/2 sweet potato, 1/2 yukon gold. Still tasted yammy to me.
Of course, one more “M”…Martin Luther King, Jr.  A great man is honored today. I sometimes wonder if the world would be a different place, had he lived…
If you would ilke to play, with or without my variation of adding things I DON’T love, let me know in the comments. I’ll assign you a letter. 🙂 Happy Monday, by the way!

Muscrat Love — laughed out loud on that one. Shoot, now it’s stuck in my head. Thanks 🙁
I’ll give it a try…”easy” letter please!
J
OK, Debra…since “Easy” starts with an “E”, that’s your letter. Have fun!
Gina
I like all of your M’s too, although I would have to say Maya was exclusively yours!
Starshine
“Motorheads”. I never knew exactly what they were, but the secretary on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off didn’t care for them either. And she referred to Ferris’ sister, Jeannie, as a motorhead.
Time to consult wikipedia…
Heidi
Thanks for the fun read! Your list of M’s is perfect!
Starshine
Okay, then, turns out that while the secretary in FBDO refers to some of her students as “motorheads”, you were actually referring to the British rock and roll band. Gotcha.
Have a great week!

Meat muffins reminded me of Dr. Evil. You know, “In the summer we made meat helmets!”

Great meme! I wanna play!
Lotus
Love your twist on the meme, J! Great responses, too! Moms, music, movies, margaritasm Magnolia trees…they’re all favorite of mine, too!
Jess
Great list! I can’t imagine you as a former metalhead. If I ask nicely, will you post a picture of yourself from that era? 😉
Maya's Granny
Well, I love Maya and mangos.
And the magnolia was your Grandfather Hunt’s favorite flower.
J
Sorry, Jess, all evidence has been destroyed…but I never really dressed the part anyway…just wore jeans and t-shirts like everyone else. We’re talking 9th grade, 1982, so conforming was BIG. 😉
Beenzzz, glad you’re playing! You get the letter “C”!
CG
I love My son, Maya, Mangoes, Mondays( because I was born on Monday and so was PY).
J
CG, do you remember that rhyme?
Monday’s Child is fair of face, Tuesday’s child is full of grace, etc? You and Py are both gorgeous, so I guess maybe it’s true. 🙂
Shelliza
