Friday Randomness…

Anybody else amazed by these photos, of an uncontacted tribe in the Amazon?  I was pretty surprised to read that there are about 100 tribes of people who have never had any contact with the outside, modern world, and that about half of those tribes are in the Amazon.  Really pretty interesting.

Still processing last night’s season finale of LOST.  Clearly I need to watch it again today.  Stupid work.  I will say that I shed a few tears, actual tears, at the Sun/Jin thing.  Sob. It’s OK, he’s probably still alive.  He knew that the ship was going to blow, so he probably jumped and got off in time.

Maya’s going camping this weekend…which means we can do grown up things if we want to!  Yay!  She’s going to have a wonderful time, I know.  We’re going to go visit my mom tomorrow, which will be OK, and then we’re going to see Sex and the City with Cherry and Eric, which will be AWESOME.  Yay!

Oh, got the car out of the shop the other day.  Turns out it was a faulty part, so we don’t have to pay, and now it has A/C again.  Just in time for summer.

What else…um…nothing else.  Sorry.  Happy Friday, have a great weekend everyone!

I just saw this today. It is totally amazing. Let’s leave them alone shall we??? I’m lost on what you are talking about on LOST. hahha cuz I don’t watch. Great that Maya is going camping this weekend. Somehow, my friends Lynn and Donald are taking all four boys to spend the night with them tonight. My reaction was ARE YOU CRAZY??? then I quickly hung up before they could change their mind.

I knew their were tribes in Amazon, but how did they takes these pictures without these tribes being aware of it?
I hope you like the Movie Sex in the City. I saw a blurb on it today, channel 9. Sarah and the writer were having a discussion on the subject matter of the movie and how women of all ages can relate to the characters. They had little peeks of the movie with explanation of the dialogue. That really made me interested in the movie.

Hey LaLuna, if you look closely, you can see that the people in the picture are pointing bows and arrows at the airplane, so they are aware of it. I think the guy who took the picture was willing to do that, to invade their privacy a bit, for honorable reasons. He wants the world to know about them, that they exist and should be left alone, because of deforestation and mineral mining and such being so close to where they live. If things like that keep happening, they’ll go extinct. He didn’t want that to happen, so by showing them to the world, he can put pressure on those in power to make sure they are left alone. That was my understanding, at least.

Regarding the movie, oh, I’ve been trying to avoid reading too much about it, but I can hardly wait! Is big sis going to see it? I know she LOVED the show…

I love how you and I are both optomistic about Jin’s survival. I was patting myself on the back through my tears. And wondering who the heck Jeremy was.

I agree with Autumn’s mom; I hope we leave them alone.

Isn’t it great how they bring things full circle with Lost? When Jack and Kate met that night Jack had been to the funeral home, I thought the “he” she mentioned might be Sawyer. And now, of course, we realize it’s Aaron. And I was thrilled to be right about who was in the coffin! I wonder if he’ll be alive again? Some of them are immortal, like Richard, so who knows. Would the Island really let John die?

My first thought when I saw that picture in the news was; “dang?…..they look overweight?……I mean livin’ in the jungle and stuff? How did they get so fat?
Are they droppin’ off McDonalds care packages to them or something?

I was so amazed by this story too. It almost seems impossible, doesn’t it?

Let us know how you liked Sex in the City – haven’t seen it yet and love your reviews!

Oh, what fun!!! Let us know what you think about Sex and the City! I’m really looking forward to seeing it too.

Hope your Mom is doing well and hope Maya had a great time camping.

The guys with the bows look suspiciously like some neighbors we had a few years back. It’s probably just a coinicidence.

I found the story about the tribes to be quite fascinating. I really wonder what their lives are like. Are they happy. Are they satisfied.

Will exposure to the modern world hurt or help them.

I was amazed by that photo and the story that goes with it. I think they should be left alone but I doubt that they will be.

Processing Lost? It’s just a TV show! I have never seen it and neither have I seen Sex In The City, so I won’t be bothering with the film.
