I know what you mean. I hope that my kids will open up to me about anything they want to. I think all kids have that type of embarrassment in puberty, though, so I imagine that there are just some things that parents don’t find out about. Still, being open to your kids and withholding judgement probably does a lot to make them feel safe in sharing with you.
