We’re trying to get our place ready to have an open house this coming Sunday, so needless to say, it’s a bit crazed around here…can you tell from Genevieve’s face?
MG, What with trying to get our place ready to sell, my regular job duties, and getting everything together for Maya’s camping trip with girlscouts this weekend, I kinda feel like my tongue IS hanging out… 🙂
Oh my. I feel for you. The words “open house” make me break out in a sweat and start to get weak in the knees. Been there, done that one too many times. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Oooh, an open house! Good luck! When we were getting ready to put ours up for sale, I read a pretty good book that said often your best offers come in during the first week your house is on the market.
Wow! What a crazy busy weekend it’s going to be for you guys! Good luck with the open house! I read somewhere that if you have bread (or any kind of baking…oh, hpw about cookies?!) in the oven while people are viewing your house, it’s supposed to have a ‘homey’ and comfortable effect. At least that’s what I heard 😉
I’ve also heard that playing soft music like classical or jazz is also appealing and inviting…as well as strategically placing vases of fresh flowers around the house. I probably wouldn’t do that though, since some people might be allergic. Speaking of which…have you tried that local honey yet? 🙂
