The Zombies ~ She’s Not There

Z already? The end of the alphabet? That means I’ve been doing this A – Z thing for 26 weeks, 1/2 a year. Crazy, huh? I don’t know a lot of Z bands. There are the Zombies, and ZZ Top. I know there are plenty of others, but these are the only ones I’m familiar with. And I’m not very familiar with either, really.

Anyway, enjoy the Zombies, (appropriate for Halloween week, no?), and I hope you enjoyed ‘ABC Music Monday’, which was influenced by Gina’s ‘Music Monday’, and then was picked up by my friend Simon as well. Simon lives in Belgium, and I don’t think we’ve ever picked the same group for the same letter. Go check his blog out to see what he came up with.

  1. It feels so good to complete a challenge, doesn’t it?! Way to go!

I’m contemplating doing NaBloPoMo, which starts in just a few days. Do you think you’ll do it?

It’s funny, when we started blogging around the same time several years ago, I couldn’t wait to get to my computer each day…so much fodder to blog about! Now, it’s just not coming so easily.

Maybe a NaBloPoMo challenge is just what I need to get the juices flowing again!

  2. hi j -just want to tell you that i like your video blog posts…that’s a really cool idea too (a-z, a letter a week). i would love to do that for my blog. we share a lot of the same tastes in music…

btw, for Z’s, you’re right, there’s not a lot of bands that start with’Z’ but there are a few musicians, such as Frank Zappa, Dweezil Zappa (his son), singer Zac Efron (ugh, I know, HSM 1, 2, & 3—if I didn’t have a daughter who likes his stuff I swear I wouldn’t even know this), Zapp (remember Zapp & Roger? – they always had that robotic voice thing going on)and Zwan (a supergroup featuring Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, and members of A Perfect Circle, Slint, Tortoise & Chavez, which lasted from 2001 – 2003)
