Avocado Tree

After my poor avocado tree died last year (http://jellyjules.com/?p=1016), I’ve been thinking I might want to try starting over with a new one. This one has sprouted quite nicely, and I’m deciding if it’s time to put it in a pot, or wait until the roots get thicker. Hmmmm.

Jimmy, I can’t help it…I keep trying to grow avocado trees. I got one for a few years, but they’re pretty delicate, and it died. So I’m trying again. 🙂

That is awesome, J! I can NEVER get my avocado to grow! They always go bad…or if they do begin to root, they end up dying soon after! 🙁

You are awesome! I love the foliage! Beautiful!

P.S. Thought Maya would get a kick out of seeing Little One in the Team Edward onesie! She may be the youngest Twilight fan yet! I read the books while on bed rest during my pregnancy.

Chrissy, I’ve had MANY seeds go bad, no worries. The last few have gone really well, though, which makes me wonder if they really like the warm weather and long daylight of summer.

I need to show Maya the pics of R.A. in her onsie…I’ll bet she loves it. 🙂 I do remember you reading those on bed rest, and hoping you’d get out to see the movie for some down time when she was in the hospital. Funny how those days seemed endless, and now they’re so long ago, huh? That’s how it is for all parents of newborns, I think, but with a baby in the hospital, it’s magnified by 100, and then you add the commute you were doing, and it was 100x worse even. I do remember the first 6 weeks or so just being bleary, though.

I once wrote a funny post about my husband and kids sprouting an avocado tree. Took forever!!! About five months, I think. They had faith. I kept wanting to throw that moldy pit away.
